Axe Throwing Experiences We Offer
Walk-in Experience or Reservation
We offer a traditional axe throwing experience. Each bay has an adjoining community table. The rental period is 1 hour, and there is a maximum of six throwers per bay.
Private Lounge Reservation and Group Events
Looking for something a little more private or a group event? Reserve our private Lumberjack axe-throwing Lounge located upstairs, featuring two traditional bays and seating for 12 with adjoining seating to accommodate a group from 6 to 60. Availability is limited and by Reservation only.

Bookings are for 1 hour per bay
Experience + Capacity
Our axe-throwing experience is for up to 6 axe-throwing guests per bay. Your group gets a dedicated target, a table area, and a shared axe coach (aka AxePert). Book a date and time, and have some fun throwing axes!
Reservations are recommended, and walk-ins are welcome, but they are based on availability!
Reservations are required to be booked up to 7 days in advance and require full payment at the time of booking, so stop by and book your lane or email reservations@PLAYat1UP.com
Reservation Cancellations
Just don’t.. you will regret not coming in to throw axes, but if you have to, we understand… however, all sales are final and are non-refundable, but if you notify us at least 24 hours notice before your throwing day/time, we will give you a credit towards a future date, which is valid for six months. Guests who cancel the same day will be counted as no-shows and may not receive a credit.
Arrival and Late Arrival Policy
For a reserved lane(s), the ending time remains the same as booked. If we can accommodate more time, we will try unless there is another reservation behind you. We recommend getting to 1UP 20 minutes early, but we know life happens.
House Rules...
-Obey all safety rules
-Arrive early for check-in and waiver
-Payment is due in full at the time of reservation
-Reservation and late arrival policies apply
-Play is at the sole discretion of AxePert/management based on the evaluation of participants’ behavior
-Play is at your own risk- Mandatory waiver required by thrower (a guardian for minor)
-No outside food + drink
Age and Strength Requirements!
-Age 16 -17, Parent or Adult Guardian Required to be present and sign waiver; no exceptions!
-Regardless of age, you must have the ability to throw an axe safely as judged by our AxePert or management team
-If we feel that a person is not strong enough to throw the axe safely, it won’t make sense to allow them to throw.
– NO HIGH HEELS; Closed-toe shoes required; NO CROCS, flip flops or sandals
– No throwing an Axe while intoxicated
– No aiming the axe anywhere other than the target
– No treating other guests/throwers/1UP employees with disrespect
– No cell phone use while throwing
– No power throws

Who teaches me how to throw an axe and the rules?
Our amazing AxePerts will guide you through your experience by teaching you what you need to know and hone in on making tweaks to your technique so you can properly throw an axe. There will be a brief orientation at the beginning of your session to cover the required instruction on safety, house rules, and throwing techniques.
Do you have groups events?
Yes! Events are by reservation only and must be booked 7 days in advance. Contact Events.marketing@playat1up.com for more information.
Can we take pictures or videos?

Do you have a league?
Not yet but round up your fellow axe throwers and let’s put one together!
Axe Rules..do you have any?
Of course we do and they will be explained during your axe briefing prior to axe play. These rules were adopted from WATL – the oversight group for the sport of axe-throwing.
Can we bring our own food + Drink?
No outside food or drink is allowed, we have food and drink available for purchase.
Can people come and just be spectators or do they have to pay?
If they’re not throwing and just want to hang out with you guys and can stand watching everyone else have the time of their life then yes, we are happy to have them come in and cheer their friends & family at no additional cost but there is a max because there is only six chairs per table and bay rental.
What should I wear?
Wear something comfortable, and absolutely NO HIGH HEELS. You must have close-toed shoes (no Crocs). You will be thankful during your session if you wear a comfy shirt and pants.
Can we bring our own axes?
No, we provide World Axe Throwing League(WATL) compliant axes!
